The problem is radical and so is the solution. Is it possible? Yes, it has been successful in the 1920s Turkey. Is it possible in Pakistan? Yes, people told Kemal AtaTurk that it was impossible.

OK! Isolate these criminals. The government must ban the keeping of beard in Pakistan and Afghanistan for one year. All men must shave their beards within one week. The extremist Taliban & Al-Qaeda would rather sacrifice their lives over beards.

GIVE THEM THEIR BELOVED MARTYRDOM.                  ————————————————————–

THE STATUS OF THE BEARD

January 27th, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

Q: After having an interview with the ISNA President Dr. Ingrid Mattson, a few good men have asked me to confirm whether Muslim men are religiously bound to grow beards. They had been told that the beard is a Sunnah muakkada of the exalted Prophet. [Sunnah muakkada = A tradition that is obligatory for Muslims to follow]

A: Nay! It was a part of the Arab culture even before the exalted prophet. Then, the most vehement Qureshite enemies of Islam, Abu Jahl, Abi Lahab, Waleed bin ‘Atbah, ‘Aaas bin Waael, ‘Atbah bin Rabee’, Waleed bin Mugheerah as well as Jews and Christians of Arabia all kept beards. Think of the men who, for racial or other reasons, cannot grow beards. Most importantly, keeping beard is not ordained anywhere in the Quran.

SAY NO TO BEARD

SAY NO TO BEARD IN THE NAME OF ISLAM

http://ibnlive.in.com/news/sc-says-no-beard-in-school-doesnt-want-talibanisation/89066-3.html

The Supreme Court of India has disallowed students from sporting beard in the name of Islam. “We want no Talibanization here”, they correctly say.

Sporting beard in the name of Islam must be banned at least in Pakistan and Afghanistan. ……..

“
Pilgrimage to this House is a duty all mankind owe to God
” [3:97]

Hajj is for all mankind, not just for Muslims. Allah is Rabbil’Aalameen (Lord of the Worlds) and Rabb-in-Naas (Lord of all human beings). The N2Is (followers of the Number Two Islam) have been openly violating the Divine commands and, amazingly, the Ummah remains dumb following their “Imams” like sheep following sheep.

3:97 Therein are clear messages (to achieve that coveted goal and recall) how Abraham once took his stand (against all divisions of humanity and was granted the leadership of all mankind 2:124-125). Those who enter the System symbolized thereby shall find inner peace and external security. Pilgrimage to this House is a duty all mankind owe to God, those who have the circumstantial means to undertake the visit. One who denies this command should know that God is Absolutely Independent of all His creation.

9:17 Those who associate others with God, (whether idols, dead saints, religious or temporal leaders), shall not administer God’s Masjids, the Centers of the Divine System – while they witness against their own ‘self’ denial of the Truth
 [9:107, 30:31, 72:18]

9:18 Only those people are fit to administer or maintain the Masjids (the Centers of the Divine Order), who have unwavering belief in God and the Last Day. They strive to establish the Divine System, and to set up the Just Economic Order of Zakaat and fear none but God. They are the only ones who are rightly guided. [Ya’mur = Maintains or administers. Yousuf Ali, Pickthall and Muhammad Asad correctly translate the word as maintaining or tending]

Idolaters may not come to administer Masjids:

9:28 O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! The idolaters have made their hearts unclean (and the Sacred Masjid of Makkah is the House of Pure Monotheism). Only those who believe in the Divine System can administer this Sacred House. So let not the Idolaters come close to it (for administering the House) after this year of theirs. If you fear loss of any gains, God will enrich you with His bounty. This is the promise of God Who is Knower, Wise. [See 9:18 for administration or maintenance. Also, note that God invites all mankind, not Muslims alone, to the Pilgrimage of the Sacred House. 3:97, 22:27]

[Question: Are not the so-called Muslims of today champion idolaters?]

Delegations from around the world must see the benefits with their own eyes:  22:27 “And announce to mankind the duty of Pilgrimage. They will come to you on foot, and on every kind of fast mount, coming from every far away point on earth.”

22:28 So that they might see with their own eyes and experience what benefits the Divine System holds for them (in addition to uniting them in the common bond of humanity). And they shall commemorate God’s Name collectively during the specified days of Hajj; and over the livestock He has bestowed upon them. Then host one another with the livestock (to make the Congregation self-sufficient in the food resources). Eat and feed the distressed poor (regardless of whether they are in the congregation or not).

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAGIC.

Unfortunately, the so-called custodians of the Final Word of Allah never tire of saying,
“Jaadoo bar haq, karnay wala kaafir.” (Magic is true but the magician is infidel.)

The Muslim clergy, “bewitched” by Hadith Bukhari and in total disregard to the Qur’an,
insist that even the exalted prophet was influenced by a Jewish magician!

4:50 See, how the claimants to spiritual purity deceive people by inventing lies against God. That is sufficient to flagrantly drag them down in humanity.

4:51 Are you not aware of those who, after receiving their share of the Book (Qur’an), believe in Jibt. And they believe in Taaghoot (the evil humans who try to play God with their tyranny or with their religious exploitation as priests and monks, Mullahs and Sufis of any religion)? And then they claim that they, the deniers (of the Qur’an) are better guided than the believers in the Book!

[Jibt = Baseless mysteries, magic, future-telling, astrology, clairvoyance, evil eye,
good and bad omens, ‘occult’ sciences, amulets, interpretation of dreams and
prophecies (except by a prophet), palm-reading, soothsaying, superstitions of all kind,
demon or jinn-possession of people, exorcism, blowing verses and senseless words
on people or in food and drink, counting names on rosaries. Taaghoot = Those who, in
rebellion to the One True God, claim to have Divine powers or try to portray themselves
as His representatives, Sufis, mystics, deceptive priesthood, clergy, tyrants = Those
who try to play god.]

THE PROPHET (S) AND MAGIC: The Qur’an is the greatest Smasher of all superstition such as magic, evil eye, miracles, clairvoyance, future-telling, good or bad omens, irrationalities and all things contrary to Sunnatillah (Divine Laws in Nature). It liberates mankind from all conjecture. Unfortunately, the Hadith collections very frequently run contrary to the Qur’an and bind Muslims in the same shackles that the Glorious Book had broken.

The ‘Imams’ of history and Hadith fabricated a wicked story (also reported in Bukhari) that the exalted Messenger was affected by a spell of magic contrived by a Jewish magician, Lubaid bin ‘Aasim. After a while, a doll was recovered from an abandoned well. The doll had needles on it along with some scalp hair of the Prophet tied around. Reminds you of Voodoo? Under the influence of that magic, Rasool (S) used to think that he had done a task while he actually had not done it.

[Wasn’t delivering the Divine revelation to people his foremost responsibility? How about him forgetting this noble duty? But the narrator tries to pre-empt this objection.]

A lame apology by the criminal narrator: “No, he only used to think that he had gone to his wife while he had not.” Notice how cautious the fabricators were of getting caught! A guilty conscience needs no accuser.

Finally, the last two Surahs (113 & 114) were revealed to the Prophet (S) and each needle was pulled out with recitation of a verse from them. He became normal again. To this day, the Mullah calls these Surahs as Ma’oozatain - The two protectors (against magic etc!) Believing in this contrived story is sufficient to bring down the glorious station of prophethood. Yet, the so-called Muslims not only believe in it but, to this day, fall for unscrupulous people claiming to have the powers to cast spells of magic and to counter it, and thus deceive people into losing fortunes to them! The Qur’an says in no uncertain terms that it is the Zaalimoon (wrongdoers, the wicked) who claim that the exalted Prophet was ever bewitched. (17:47, 25:8)

Illusion & Trickstery: Today’s educated “magicians” honestly admit that they are tricksters and their work is nothing but illusion. This is what Pharaoh’s “magicians” had done before Moses and the assembly.

7:116 Moses asked them to begin. When they began they cast a spell on the people’s eyes, and struck them with awe, and stunned the assembly with their spellbinding eloquence.

The Conjecture of Haaroot & Maaroot:

2:102 (They had followed conjecture in the past as well.) Some satanic people spread a rumor in the Kingdom of Solomon (Sulaiman). Solomon never disbelieved in the Divine laws, but the satanic people did. They fabricated a story that two angels Haaroot and Maaroot had descended in Babylon and taught magic to some people; and that they used to warn people, “We are only a temptation, therefore be not oblivious to the rational Divine laws.” The rumor further stated that people learned magic from both of them and learned how to create discord between a man and his wife. They could harm none against the Divine laws. What they try to learn only harms them and does not profit them. They ought to know that any person indulging in this trade (the so-called occult sciences) will be a loser in the long run, and shall have no portion in the Hereafter. Evil is the price for which they sell their humanity, if they knew.
[The entire story of Haaroot Maaroot was based on conjecture. Magic, amulets, ghoul, demon-possession, exorcism, witchcraft, evil eye, fortune telling, astrology, palm reading, clairvoyance, knowledge of the future, Voodoo, are nothing but conjecture. These things can neither harm nor benefit anyone since nothing happens in the Universe contrary to the immutable Divine laws in nature. However, superstitions can harm people by becoming self-fulfilling prophecies. 3:123-127, 6:73, 7:54, 45:22]

[Divine laws never change 33:62, 35:43, 48:23, and you will never find even a slight turn in them 17:77]

Dear Dr Shabbir Ahmed

I am a 17 Year old girl getting my education at a Islamic School in South Africa pretoia. A fellow student told me if i colour my hair i am commiting a sin she told me i will turn black on the day of qiyamat and will not smell the fragrance of jannat.

Can you please set me free from this fear and give me a good answer to this remark she made

Salaams

Shehnaaz Haroon

Dear Shehnaaz, Wa alaikum Assalam!

Beware of these Mullah-minded creatures! They follow nothing but conjecture.

The Qur’an nowhere forbids coloring the hair.

7:32 Say, “Who is there to forbid the beauty that God has brought forth for His servants, and the good things of sustenance?” Say, “On the Day of Resurrection, these things will be only for those who chose to believe in Divine laws during the life of this world.” Thus do We detail Our messages for people who make use of what they learn. [17:18-20, 20:117-123]

7:33 Say, “My Lord forbids only: Indecent shameful deeds, open or secret, actions that hurt the ‘self’ and drag down the individual and collective human potential, unjust aggression, associating others with God (Shirk), for which He has sent down no authority, and that you say things about God that you do not know.”

Interestingly, there are two sayings attributed to the exalted prophet. They warn people against falsifying their appearance in order to deceive others for getting married.

Dr. Shabbir Ahmed’s Brief Biography (requested by readers)

SHABBIR AHMED, M.D.

Introduction

Dr. Shabbir believes that he has lived a simple life and he is quite contented about it within his heart. “If there were such a thing as ‘reliving in this world’, I would choose to live the way I have.”

An author of forty five extremely popular English and Urdu books translated into many languages, Dr. Shabbir prefers to call himself a life-long student. He translated the Quran into English in 2002.

Dr. Shabbir Ahmed was born in a middle class family at Delhi on the Independence Day of Pakistan, 14 Aug 1947. The very next day, his honorable parents, Abdul Rashid (1921-2000) and Rashida Begum (1925-?) moved to Karachi, Pakistan along with their two little sons Shabbir and his older brother Saeed Ahmed (1945 – 1999). Saeed Ahmed, a kind-hearted, first class gentleman and a conscientious, hard-working pharmacist, died in New York. What a loss! Although only slightly older, Saeed extended a father figure role to his younger brother through his ever sustaining love and kindness. Their father served with distinction as an engineer at All India Radio, and later at Radio Pakistan, Karachi until his retirement in 1981. Living with Shabbir and his lovely wife, Farida, he died in Florida in 2000. He was always known as ‘a man of life upright’. The honorable mother lives with Dr. Shabbir and Farida as a blessing to the entire family comprising of four generations. All her life, she has been an extraordinarily loving, caring and soothing presence for the extended family, friends, neighbors and anyone needing help, or just having the honor of meeting with her. She makes everyone feel most special to her.

In 1971, Dr. Shabbir married the beautiful, gentle, cool-minded and versatile Farida at the parent’s recommendation. When asked about Farida, Dr. Shabbir always says “Thanks to Allah for granting us a most excellent companionship. She is an ideal wife”. Those who know Farida, agree that she is an ideal daughter, sister, wife and mother. Allah has blessed them with three wonderful children; two boys and a girl: Shahzad, an attorney, Fawad, a physician and Aisha, a university student in 2009. Shahzad and Fawad are happily married to the lovely and virtuous Safia and Saira respectively. Both were selected by the family elders.

Dr. Shabbir and Farida say that they have two more kids. They are his late brother Saeed’s children. During their first visit to New York in 1979, Shabbir and Farida quickly decided that the hectic New York City was not the best place to raise kids. Brother Saeed and his wife Shahida (incidentally, Farida’s sister) have a daughter, Shazia and a son, Babar. They were elementary school students in 1980. With permission and agreement of their parents and the elders, they moved the delighted kids with them to the peaceful Indiana and then to Florida. Thus, Shabbir and Farida have had the blessing of raising two more respectful and brilliant kids. By the grace of Allah, both of them are now professionals in Law, Hospital Administration and Medicine. Dr. Shabbir personally chose a handsome and noble young doctor, Sohail, to match Shazia. Shabbir’s and Farida’s mothers chose the beautiful economist Saima for their doctor nephew, Babar. When asked about his opinion on arranged marriages, Dr. Shabbir has this to say, “Like most educated Pakistani families, we do not believe in ‘arranged’ or forced marriages. It is a matter of suggestion. The youngsters must approve our choice, or we must approve their choice. Muslims seldom engage in dating. “We consider marriage being a bond between two families as well”, says Farida. Al-Hamdulillah, the four young couples are happily married and blessed with little kids.”

Dr. Shabbir’s schooling:

1951-55 Primary: Govt Boys Primary School, Jacob Lines, Karachi. Pakistan had just come into being. Students used to sit on jute mats through the four years at the Primary School. Oh, how selfless, humble, dedicated and dignified their teachers were!

1955-61 Secondary: Govt Boys Secondary School, Jacob Lines, Karachi. School benches were the new luxury they had at the Secondary School. The honorable teachers had the same traits as mentioned above.

1961-63 Premedical: Adamjee Science College, Karachi. The widely respected college had been newly built and began functioning just then in 1961. To this day, it retains its high standards and good name.

1963-68 Medical: Liaquat Medical College, Jamshoro. There were only six medical colleges in West Pakistan, and LMC was the latest among them. Surrounded by patches of desert and oases, the college, the hostels and the associated hospital were most beautifully designed and built with yellow-brown bricks. The Indus River flowed a few miles from their hostels and friends used to enjoy boating and the picturesque scenery. There was a solitary restaurant, the gorgeous Al-Manzar, at the river bank. They loved to eat there; fresh fish fried and even the inexpensive, (yes, inexpensive) caviar.

Shabbir remained one of the top students in his school and college years.

1968-69 House Job - Residency: Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, Karachi. Named after the blessed Founder of Pakistan, JPGMC remains the most advanced governmental medical institution in the country. Its cardiology and kidney sections are among the most modern in the world. Deserving patients can easily get the most sophisticated treatment at no cost.

The developing and bustling Karachi was a model of peace and tranquility all through these years. One could walk miles and miles even in the darkness of nights without any fear.

Religious and Extra-curricular interests:

Never given to sectarianism, since early childhood, Shabbir was blessed with an observant and critical mind. He would not accept anything irrational. By the way, he was born to a ‘Sunni Hanafi’ family. The Jami’ah Masjid, Jacob Lines was one of the most respected institutions in Pakistan. ‘Maulana’ Ehtisham-ul-Haq Thanwi, the Imam of the Masjid, was an extremely personable, pleasant, popular and world-renowned scholar and orator. People used to travel long distances to listen to his Friday sermons. The elderly Qari Baqaullah Saheb was an outstanding scholar of Islam and comparative religion. Shabbir was fortunate to complete his initial Islamic Studies in that Masjid at age 12. He had studied the Quran with his limited understanding by then. The wonderful duo never snubbed students, even the inquisitive ones like Shabbir.

Since childhood, Shabbir loved drawing, painting, music, debating, singing, playing cricket, tennis and swimming. He represented the Sindh province in First Class Cricket. He was a college champion at LMC in tennis and diving. He has been a voracious reader of non-fiction all his life. He considers Allama Sir Muhammad Iqbal as his spiritual guide. Exposing and denouncing the distortions of the Benevolent, Peaceful Islam by the extremist, violent, orthodox elements, particularly by the Islamic clergy, is one of Dr. Shabbir’s main objectives as a scholar.

Professional life:

1969-1971 First Job: House Physician at B.M.H. Parsi General Hospital, Saddar, Karachi.

1972-80 Professional assignments in the Middle East raised him to the rank of Brig-Gen in Medical Corps at age 31.

Shabbir moved to the USA in 1980. His wife and two little boys had moved earlier in 1979 primarily for children’s education and lived with Saeed Ahmed and family in New York. The baby of the house, Aisha was born in 1989.

Since 1980, Shabbir furthered his postgraduate studies in Indiana and honorably practiced medicine in Indiana and then in Florida.

Dr. Shabbir recollects his memories of his years in Saudi Arabia in the 1970s as below:

Malik Faisal (1906-1975): My Foremost Quranic Teacher

Being a young member of the Saudi royal medical staff, I had the good fortune of learning the Quraish dialect in the 1970s under the auspices of King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz and King Khalid bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia. The Quraish dialect is the Arabic language of Makkah in which the Quran was revealed to the exalted Prophet Muhammad between 610-632 CE. I was blessed with the opportunity to learn Islamic Theology in Riyadh and Madinah universities after having learnt the subject under the guidance of the celebrated names of Qari Baqaullah Saheb and ‘Maulana’ Ehtishamul Haq Thanwi in Karachi during my school days.

In addition, the opportunity to socialize with the Bedouins was certainly a great advantage since even today they frequently speak the Quraish dialect.

King Faisal used to advise people to understand the Quran through two basic principles:

1. Focusing on the language in which the Quran was revealed.

2. Making use of Tasreef, that is, how the Quran repeats its messages from very diverse vantage points to make things clear.

The use of Tasreef along with a diligent study of the Book shows us the Quran in its Big Picture, and this indeed, is a phenomenal aid in the Glorious Book’s rendition and understanding.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Learning the dialect, by no means, amounts to absorbing the Saudi theology. Rather, it’s quite the opposite as we see how non-sectarian the Quran is and how blessed and compassionate its Message is. It is the Guardian of human rights for the entire mankind, and not for Muslims only.

It is of paramount importance to know that the mentioned dialect is not extinct. It is very much alive and well in the Pre-Islamic and ‘Para-Islamic’ poetry and well preserved in some good old dictionaries. The special role of the desert nomads has already been mentioned. The Empty Quarter is the second largest desert in the world following only the Sahara of Africa. It is located in the south eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula touching the capital Riyadh.

Especially the Bedouins living in that area speak the Quraish dialect even today. They live in tents and migrate with their camels, sheep and goats in search of nearby water resources, primarily natural water springs and green foliage for their livestock. They live the simplest of lives and basically eat dates, melons, rice, wheat bread, lamb, and camel. They use plenty of camel milk and skin in different forms. They lead a tough life in very hot summers and very cold winters. They patiently fight scorching winds and find their ways through moving sand dunes. Almost every Bedouin is a master of stars, finding direction, time and even seasons through them.

King Faisal was a king only by title but truly he was a saint. He used to sit with us on the floor in the royal palace. He disliked being called Malik or by any other title. “Say Faisal”, he used to remind people. The only title the powerful man would accept was ‘Khadimul Harmain’ (Servant of Masjid Haram in Makkah and Masjid Nabawi in Madinah). Few people know that he was a scholar of the Quran par excellence.

A man of few words and very dignified manners, he had an aura of humility, righteousness and greatness about him. He was an affectionate father figure to us and other youngsters. He would never mind any questions and spoke fluent Arabic, English and French. He was easily the most outstanding mu’min I have seen in my life.

One day, the young Shabbir respectfully asked, “Would you kindly tell us the best way to learn the Quran?” His answer was brief and to the point, “My dear son! Remember that the Quran explains itself. Learn the ancient Makkah dialect and socialize with the nomads.” With this, he appointed a teacher for us (10 young physicians) to learn the pre-Islamic poetry and dictionaries relating to the Quran.

I never saw him sitting on his ‘throne’ (which was nothing but a comfortable sofa) except in the company of foreign dignitaries. Of course, he wore no crown. With him, we always ate the simple food that he ate. The man never gave himself any special treatment or sought a special seating or position. He would stand up to welcome us and stand up to say farewell without fail.

I could call him the living Quran. Kindness and compassion personified, he never raised his voice, never showed arrogance. We would be awed in the presence of his towering, charismatic personality but never was there an element of fear around him. He was such a good patient that we never heard “ouch” from him during a medical procedure.

Trying to make a point in conversation, if we erred in reciting a Quranic verse, he would never say that we were wrong. Rather, he would gently ask us to read again. Malik Faisal was very fond of telling us young doctors to ride camels at least twice a week maintaining that it was the best thing for physical fitness.

His joy knew no bounds when one day he heard from me that I would even decline to drink non-alcoholic beer. Often, he would repeat, “If you wish to attain supreme success in both lives, learn about Prophet Muhammad (S) and you will love him, yes, love him, yes again - love him in word and action.”

He frequently told his audiences that none could be a Muslim if he mistreated a non-Muslim. “The Prophet (S) has warned us that he would be a personal pleader for a non-Muslim who has been wronged in the Islamic State.”

When Z.A. Bhutto was the P.M. of Pakistan, he called an international Islamic conference in Lahore in 1973. The proposal came forward that Malik Faisal be accepted as the Amir-il-Mu’mineen of the entire Ummah. The work was moving ahead in that direction but, Alas!

When he was shot in March 1975, I was one of the first medical men to see him. We knew that the bullets had gone through his heart and brain and that his moments were numbered. Can you believe that there was no groaning at all? The only words he was uttering faintly but repeatedly were those which the Prophet (S) had uttered, “Allahumma Rafiqil A’la” (Allah is the Supreme Companion).

Ah, those 8 years of my life carry what wonderful memories!

Malik Faisal bin Abdul Aziz was a unique figure in the Saudi Dynasty. His predecessor, Malik Saud bin Abdul Aziz had tarnished the image of Islam, the Arabs and his illustrious father, Malik Abdul Aziz, the founder of the Desert Kingdom. The royal family and the council of ministers dethroned him in 1964. Malik Faisal (1906-1975) was quite the opposite, a man of extraordinary piety and a most noble character expected of a true mu’min. Saudi Arabia truly shifted into high gear and started flourishing during his rule. (1964-1975)

King Khalid was a simple, honorable gentleman who only graciously followed Faisal’s policies although with much less vigor. The ailing Khalid was not as brilliant as Faisal.

Such was Faisal’s consciousness of time that we could fix our watches by his scheduled appearance to the audience. One morning, he desired to meet with us at 8:30 AM. We young doctors were all at the palace at 8:15. I was looking at my beautiful gold RADO watch, the most elite and fashionable gift of that era. The King had gifted it to me only two weeks ago and I still have it, looking and working like brand new after 36 years of constant use. But that morning! - Well, the watch was showing 8:29 and there was no sign of the King arriving. I was getting delighted - about to find some fault for once in the mu’min of the century. Nay, exactly at 8:30 the silk curtain moved and there emerged the lone, slim, awe-inspiring figure of the King with his trade-mark dignified smile saying, “Assalam alaikum, Sabah al-Khair, Ya Ahlan!” (Peace unto you all, a Blissful morning, O Welcome!).

There was a serious revolt by the unruly Saudi employees of ARAMCO, Dhahran against the American officers and their families one late night of 1972. Law enforcement personnel were too few to quell the rebellion. The provincial governor frantically called the King at 2 AM. The Malik did not know how to panic. He had been the right hand of his great father since age 12 during all his expeditions! He calmly ordered, “Do not fight. Move everyone to safety. Make a video.” You can imagine how successful the strategy was. It saved bloodshed and every single culprit was caught the next morning.

Malik Faisal repeatedly used to say that memorization of the Quran was not a dire need of the modern times when we have millions and millions of copies available and millions more printed every year. Only the congenitally blind should memorize the Quran for personal fulfillment, teaching and for public recitations.

The King, being a master scholar, craved for modernization within the vast limits of the Quran. He knew that Islam is not to be bound in orthodoxy. The extreme, orthodox elements in the Kingdom found a reason to oppose him. He had no hesitation in admitting that the system of government in Saudi Arabia was archaic and he wanted the country to be modernized in all areas; politics, education, science and technology, human rights, women’s liberation such as their ability to drive cars and travel without an escort. He was planning to withdraw the harassing power of the mutawwa’s (religious police) in 1974. Most importantly he envisioned the provincial governors and city mayors to get elected for a four year term. Even the King would only remain a formal figure-head as in the UK. The government would be run by an elected parliament with a prime minister.

I saw even his local opponents, some western oil officials and top diplomats, admiring the man’s brilliance, integrity, empathy, foresight, trustworthiness and courage.

In 1966, Malik Faisal began using television as a very effective tool in pursuit of his reformist agenda. “Love for all, hatred for none” was his favorite slogan for domestic and international policies.

Malik Faisal’s namesake nephew, young Faisal bin Mas’ad who had been studying in the United States, moved back to Saudi Arabia in Feb 1975. He was the assassin who fatally shot the saintly King in the chest on that fateful day, 25th of March 1975.

When the mu’min of the century was assassinated, there were two common views behind the tragedy.

1. The student Faisal had remained an extremist and he hated his reformist uncle.

2. The West was terribly apprehensive of the rising domestic and international popularity and influence of Malik Faisal. They hated the King’s oil embargo during the 1973 Arab Israel war.

May Allah bless his ’self’!

Ask any Mullah about birth control and there is good chance that he would declare it Haraam. He might present verse 6:151 as evidence but:

The Qur’an forbids KILLING of CHILDREN for fear of poverty, that’s all.

6:151 — Neither kill your children for fear of poverty nor deprive them of proper training and education. We provide for you and for them —

Obviously, this is not abortion. As for contraception, there is no prohibition in the Book! In fact Bukhari reports a Hadith: When the noble companions asked the Prophet (S) about ‘Azl (coitus interruptus), he did not forbid that saying, “You may do so knowing that a child that is decreed to be born, will indeed be born.”

Lane’s error: Edward Lane translates WALAD as an unborn child. But It always means a little boy, and not an unborn child or a girl. The sex of the fetus could not be determined until recently.

As a rule, where the Qur’an ignores a situation, it is not because Allah forgot to mention it. Rather, in His infinite Wisdom and Mercy, He left minor details open for human beings to decide according to changing times. If He intended to include the unborn fetus in 6:151, He could have easily used terms like ‘ALAQA’ (Embryo) or MUDHGHAH (Fetus). Or, He could have said: Do not kill MA FIL ARHAAM (What is in the wombs).

23:14 Then We fashioned the gametes into zygote, then a leech-like mass of flesh, then the hanging little lump, the embryo. Then We created bones within the embryonic lump, and then clothed the bones with flesh, designing it into the fetus. And then We made it a new creation (the human infant). So Blessed is God, the Best of creators.

Of course, there could be nothing wrong with abortion when the mother’s or the fetus’ health would be endangered.

Look here even the prayer taught to us for a healthy baby.

7:189 —. As she grows heavy with the child, they both (husband and wife) implore God, their Lord, “If you grant us a healthy baby, we shall certainly be among the grateful.”

The Qur’an shows us even prophets praying for a healthy child.

Virgin Births And The Crucified Saviors

On close examination of history, we find Jesus Christ in good company. Contrary to popular belief, Jesus shares some astounding similarities with many figures that were worshiped centuries before he appeared. It is incredible that even Christians are unaware of the SIXTEEN CRUCIFIED SAVIORS this very planet has been worshiping, and all of them were supposedly born to virgins. Jesus happens to be only one of those sixteen. Most definitely, the New Testament writers were influenced by the then circulating myths of the dying and reviving Sun-gods. Does Jesus represent the Sun-god? (“Christianity before Christ” by Kersey Graves)

Here is a brief resume of these Saviors:

Adonis      -       Syria
Apollo       -       Rome
Astarte      -       Carthage
Attis          -      Phrygia
Baal          -       Babylon
Bacchus   -       Greece
Balder       -       Scandinavia
Buddha     -       India
Hercules   -       Rome
Horus        -       Egypt
Jesus        -       Israel
Krishna     -       India
Mithra       -       Persia
Osiris        -       Egypt
Serapis     -       Alexandria
Yu             -      China

  • Osiris was the Sun-god born to Virgin Ceres.
  • Krishna - Lord Krishna (Chrish-na) of India was the 8th Avtar of India (1200 BC). His Virgin Mother had been overshadowed by the Holy Ghost (Naraan) of the Supreme God, Brahma.
  • Serapis of Alexandria was born to Virgin Isis.
  • Buddah was supposedly born to the married but Virgin Maya.
  • Mithra the Sun-god of Persia belonged to the Church of Nativity (He too was supposedly born through ‘Immaculate Conception’).
  • Attis of Phrygia was born to Virgin Nana.
  • Jesus was supposedly born to Virgin Mary through Immaculate Conception.
  • Hercules, a prominent mythical figure of the Sun-worship cult, was born to Virgin Prudence through Immaculate Conception.
  • Bacchus was the Only Begotten Son of Jupiter through Virgin Semele. We also find historical references to the Grecian Crucified Savior, Bacchus Son of Virgin Minerva.
  • The Sun-god Balder was called the Healer the Savior of mankind. Virgin Frigga conceived him of the All Father, Odin.
  • In China, the Sun-god Yu was born to Virgin Shing-Mon, like all others, through Immaculate Conception.

Born in Stables or Caves

The make-believe birth of Jesus in a stable is no co-incidence. Astrologically speaking, at the time of the birth of the sun on Dec. 25th (as in the case of these ‘Saviors’ including Jesus), the constellation directly under the earth is that of Capricorn. This constellation is known as the Stable of Augeus, the famous Augean Stable in relation to Hercules. (Burrit’s Geography of the Heavens)

Now, with extremely slight variations, here are the astounding similarities:

  • All of them were supposedly born to Virgins.
  • Their date of birth has been claimed to be about the same i.e. Dec 25 which is related to the birth of the sun in Astrology. So is the birth of the Sun-god according to the Sun-worship cults, around Dec 25.
  • All of them were born in the isolation of caves, stables or barns.
  • They toiled in sweat and blood for humanity.
  • They were the “Alpha and Omega”.
  •  All of them were God-incarnates.
  •  Most of them had twelve disciples.
  •  Most of these figures were betrayed by one of their own disciples.
  •  They were called Healer, Mediator, Light-bringer, Sin-Bearer, Savior,                      Deliverer, Anointed, and Messiah.
  •  All of them were called “the Lamb of God” that would carry the sins of mankind.
  • They were vanquished by the “powers of evil and darkness”.
  • They washed the sins of humanity with their own blood.
  •  A “Passion” story is common to them.
  •  All of them rose again from the dead.
  •  They died on Friday before Easter Sunday.
  •  They rose from the dead on Easter Sunday.
  •  They had weeping virgins coming to their graves.
  •  Their graves were found empty.
  •  They mysteriously vanished from the earth going to the underworld or hell.
  • Then they ascended to heaven.
  •  Churches and temples were built in their name.
  •  People were received into their religion by Baptism.
  •  All of them were commemorated by eating the God (Holy Communion, Eucharistic meals or Lord’s Supper: “This bread is my flesh; eat it - This wine is my blood; drink it.”)
  •  They were supposed to come back on earth once again. (None has)
  •  The birth of all Sun-gods was announced by a bright star. (In case of Jesus, see Mathew 2:9)

The term Jinn is often misunderstood. Forged Hadith describes them as powerful, unseen, flying creatures living on the earth, shady trees, the atmosphere, eating dirt, bones and dung and they can possess humans as “demons” or “evil spirits”. The so-called demon-possessed individuals are only psychiatric patients and they get rid of their ‘demons’ on proper medical attention. Some of them act weirdly only to draw attention.

Demons and evil spirits is a common theme in the Bible but the Qur’an does not condone the existence of any such thing. And there is a reported saying of the exalted Prophet, “La Ghoul” = There is no such thing as ghoul, demons, Dracula, vampires, fairies, witches and wizards etc. All such things fall into the domain of superstition.

And the Jinns He has created from a mixed flame of fire (humans with a fiery disposition 55:15).

[References to Jinns: 2:102,6:76, 6:100, 6:112, 6:128-130, 7:12, 7:38, 8:27, 11:119, 15:17, 15:27, 21:82, 32:13, 34:12-14, 37:158, 38:76, 46:29-32, 55:15, 72:1-15, 75:2-6, 114:6 Jinn, in fact, implies something hidden, rarely seen. So, after using Tasreef, Al-Jinn = The nomads. Jannah from the same root means a garden hidden in foliage. When the Jinns or nomads move to dwell in towns, they are referred to as Ins = Urbanites.

Among the verses referred to above, Jinn, at times, denotes the hidden evil prompting that goes on in the human mind. In the sense of flashes of evil prompting, Jinn can be understood as Satan in minor forms. Satan = Selfish or rebellious desires, works in concert with evil emotions which have been described as being fiery in the Jahilyah poetry. ‘Emotions being fiery’ stands up to reason.

Where is Satan? The exalted prophet once said that everyone has a Satan/Iblis within. Sahaba Kiraam respectfully asked, “Even you O Rasullullah?” He said, “Yes, I have made him a Muslim.” So, the Satan is not an extrinsic entity, it is our own selfish desire.

Verse 21:37 convincingly shows what the ‘creation of Jinn out of fire’ actually means. Using exactly the same terms ‘khuliq’ and ‘min’ it states “KHULIQAL insanu MIN ‘ajal”. Literally that would translate as: He created man out of haste. Whereas the clear understanding is: Man has been created with a tendency to be hasty and looking for instant gains or results.

Such is the case with, “KHULAQAL jaanna MIN marijin MIN naar”. He created the nomads with an inherently fiery disposition.
