REBUTTAL - 10

May 1st, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781

Mr. Walid Shoebat: The Qur’an is broken down into two sections. One is called Makkiyyah which means what was inspired to Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam in Mecca. And one is called Madaniyyah what was inspired to the Prophet of Islam in Madinah or Yathrib. In Makkah, you find much of the peaceful verses. Muhammad used to live with the Jewish community and the Christian community in peace and harmony. So, there were many verses in the Qur’an that even the Muslims used to worship in the direction of prayer towards Jerusalem. They saw many elements of unity between Jews and Christians and the Muslim Faith.

Answer: Dear Sir, If you can delineate which Surahs and verses belong to Makkah and which one to Madinah, you will be doing a great favor to the so-called scholars of Islam and resolve the much futile dissension among them today. Not two of them agree on the subject. But there is irrefutable internal evidence in the Qur’an itself that it was ‘downloaded’ on the heart of the Prophet in its entirety in one Night of Ramadhan in 610 CE. Then it was conveyed to people in stages over a period of 23 years.

44:3 We have revealed it on a Blessed Night. We have always been warning.

[The entire Qur’an was revealed (down-loaded on the Prophet’s heart) in a Blessed Night in the month of Ramadhan, 610 CE, and then conveyed to mankind in stages over a period of 23 years. 2:185, 97:1]

2:185 The month of Ramadhan has been chosen for this collective training since this is the month in which the Qur’an was revealed, a guidance for mankind, clearly explaining the ‘why’ of every Rule. And it is the Criterion of right and wrong.

So, there is no such thing as Makkiyah and Madaniyyah sections of the Qur’an. Based on person experience, dear Sir, I have recently completed my fourth edition of the Quran’s rendition in English. I have noticed that the entire Book flows smoothly from A to Z without giving you any impression of change in style, manner of Commands or form of addressing people. In the very beginning the Qur’an says that it is one complete and continuous Book.

2:2 This is a Book whereof there is absolutely no doubt concerning its authority and authenticity.

Mr. Serge Trifkovic: There are indeed some verses in the Qur’an that could be called peaceful and tolerant, notably, the injunction against compulsion in religion. Those verses almost invariably date back to the beginnings of Muhammad’s Prophetic career in his native city of Mecca where he was powerless, where he was only beginning to attract followers.

Answer: Dear Sir, this is a claim that is totally unfounded. Can anyone bring a proof to that effect? Kindly see the answer to Mr. Walid Shoebat.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Araby: Only a few relatives and friends accepted the religion at that time and he had many foes. So, the revelations of that time were very peaceful.

Answer: Dear Sir, respectfully speaking, only a single internal evidence will suffice to refute that claim. In the entire Qur’an you will find compassion, and such verses are scattered throughout the Qur’an. The verses that you consider aggressive are invariably related to self-defense. You will agree with this statement if the context is not disregarded. Please check it out or feel free to question me.

Mr. Serge Trifkovic: Well, it all changes with the establishment of Muhammad’s theocratic statelet in the city of Madinah. He becomes a warlord. He becomes the head of a totalitarian state. He becomes very rich, very powerful and very intolerant. And then, many of these early verses in fact get abrogated.

Answer: Dear Sir, did any of Prophet Muhammad’s contemporaries ever challenge such verses, in Makkah or Madinah?

3:159 It is God’s mercy that you (O Messenger) are lenient and compassionate with people. For, if you were harsh and stern of heart, they would have broken away from you. So, pardon them, arrange for their security, and consult with them in matters of public interest.

Mr. Robert Spencer: In Surah 2 verse 106 of the Qur’an, it says, or Allah says, I should say, that if We abrogate, We being Allah, abrogate a verse, then we will give you one that is better.

Studio Voice: “Whatever a verse or Revelation We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. Know you not that Allah is Able to do all things?”

Answer: We have seen before that not a single verse of the Qur’an has been abrogated. The abrogation refers to replacing some commands of the old scriptures with the new Revelations in the Qur’an. Here is the correct rendition and understanding of 2:106.

2:106 Any message of aforetime that We revoke or cause to be lost to history, We replace it with a better or similar one. Do you not know that God is the Supreme Controller of all things and events?

[Some of the People of the Book question why a new revelation was necessary. The evolution of human Civilization has now come to a point where the Final Message for all mankind can be given, implemented and preserved forever. So, the Qur’an is now the perfected message for all mankind at all times; its exact preservation guaranteed by none but the Almighty Himself. 5:48, 6:115-116, 15:9, 16:101, 22:52]

Rev E. Stephenson - My Reflections:
The message of Mohammad, Islam, is nothing but a blessing for mankind—The usher from darkness to light and from Satan to God

REBUTTAL - 9

April 30th, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781

Mr. Serge Trifkovic: Since there is no sense of natural morality in Islam, you have to go into either the Qur’an or the Hadith to find out what is allowed and what is not allowed.

Answer: Dear Sir, if ‘there is no sense of natural morality in Islam’, then it exists nowhere. If by “natural morality” you mean conscience, then, you know that all humans are born with it.

Going into either the Qur’an or the Hadith: A vast majority of Muslims have never opened any of the forbiddingly huge books of Hadith. Some of them recite the Qur’an but almost invariably without understanding, and almost never to seek guidance.

Hadith, written centuries after the exalted Prophet, is a fabricated mixture of good and evil, so the Muslim clergy should accept only those Ahadith that are authentic in the sense that they agree with the Qur’an.

Turkey is in the process of doing exactly that at our request. Bangladesh and Morocco have banned all Mullah edicts and Pakistan is in the process of demolishing ‘Shari’ah laws, all at our humble request.

Authentic Ahadith are always sensible and compassionate and they shed light on the noble era of Prophet Muhammad and his companions so they have much historical value.

The Compassionate Qur’an is the Benevolent property of all mankind, not just Muslims. Forsaking it has done immense harm to humanity in general, and Muslims in particular. I have made these points abundantly clear in my humble works, “The Criminals of Islam” and “The Qur’an As It Explains Itself.”

Dear Sirs & Ma’am, I can happily send to you these books and then you will agree that while the Islamic clergy have made a mess of the Message of Islam, the Qur’an is indeed a treasure for all mankind. (Proper rendition of the Book is extremely important.)

Mr. Robert Spencer, Director, TheDhimmiWatch.org: And in those books we have very clear instructions from the Prophet Muhammad that it is the responsibility of Muslims to meet the unbelievers on the battlefield to invite them either to accept Islam or to accept second class Dhimmi status Dhimmi status in the Islamic state. And if they refuse both of those, then to wage war against them.

Answer: Dear Sir, how can any instructions be very clear if they are recorded on hearsay 300 years after the Prophet?

Dhimmi status: Dhimmi is a non-Qur’anic term coined by the Criminal “Imams” of Islam. For change, something coined by them is not derogatory. :-)

Dhimma = Responsibilty. So, Dhimmi would mean non-Muslim citizens whose safety and well-being is the responsibility of the Islamic State. This guarantee would be above and beyond the guarantee provided to the Muslim citizens.

We have seen that the exalted Prophet had said, “If a non-Muslim is wronged in the Islamic State, I will personally plead on his behalf.” [Sahah Sittah]

So, even if there was such a thing as Dhimmi status ever in history, it could never mean ‘second class’ citizenship. It would rather be ‘first class plus’.

Studio Voice Fight against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger and fight against those who acknowledge not the religion of truth, Islam, among the People of the Scripture, Jews and Christians until they pay the Jizyah, the poll text with willing submission and feel themselves subdued. [9:29]

Answer: Attn: Verses 9:29 & 18:94. And 9:1-10 to include the context. Kindly do not drop the context. The command to fight is only against the aggressors who repeatedly violate the peace treaties and carry out surprise attacks against peaceful Muslims.

Our “Imams” and Mullahs have brought disgrace to Islam, Muslims and the entire Ummah through the centuries. For proofs, you may study “The Criminals of Islam” in the Library Section of your own website, www.ourbeacon.com.

Can we give preference to the centuries later Mullah-made Fiqh (Jurisprudence) over the Qur’an?

The erroneous and usurping explanation of Jizyah (9:29) by the Criminal Muslim Fuqaha (Jurists) is only one of their countless offenses that have rightly generated hatred among non-Muslims and sensible Muslims, including myself, against the ‘Imamist’ Shari’ah.

Can anyone tell me the names of three Muslim Caliphs or even kings that ever imposed the discriminatory Poll Tax on the non-Muslim population? Does any Muslim country do it today?

Some people can only bring a baggage of apologies and false historical accounts here and I will honestly provide the right answers.

[I can tell one: The Criminal Mullah King Aurangzeb Alamgir (d.1707). He imposed the Poll Tax on non-Muslims during the last 5 of his 50 year rule. His extremism began the end of the Mughal Empire in India.] :-)So have been many freaks in the Christian Empires but that subject is out of our discussion today.

Jizyah from ‘Jaza’ = Recompense, means War Damages or Reparations 9:29), and not Tribute or Poll Tax.

The Qur’an confirms this by using Kharaj for Tribute in verse 18:94.18:94 They presented a grievance, “O Zul-Qarnain! Gog and Magog are ravaging this land. They keep attacking and commit bloody crimes. May we, then, pay you a regular tribute that you will erect a barrier between us and them?”

[Tribute = Kharaj, not Jizyah of 9:29 which means War Damages or Reparations]

9:29 Fight back against those (who keep violating peace treaties and commit aggression 9:1-10 and) who do not believe in God, nor in the Last Day, nor do they prohibit what God and His Messenger have prohibited (including aggression 2:190), nor do they acknowledge the True Religion - among those who were given the scripture, until they pay war reparations in humility.

[‘Fight back’ (See 9:1-10 as Tasreef) – against those who keep violating peace treaties and commit aggression. ‘Nor do they prohibit’ - The Qur’an strongly prohibits aggression. “So, fight in the cause of God those who wage war against you, but do not commit aggression. God does not love aggressors.” (2:190).

[Jizyah = War Reparations to be paid by the aggressors, and not any kind of tribute or tax as generally but erroneously translated. (Mufridaat-e-Raaghib). The Arabic word for tribute is “Kharaj”. See 18:94 again, ‘Kharjan’ = Kharaj]

Thanks!

REBUTTAL - 8

April 26th, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781

Mr. Serge Trifkovic: So, the Qur’an is simply a set of direct commandments, or else, narratives, descriptions, something of very distorted descriptions of Judaism and Christianity. Because of the normative nature of those commandments, the second important body for Islamic jurisprudence and for Islamic politic is the tradition of the Prophet the Hadith.

Answer: Dear Sir, there is no ‘or else’ situation in the Qur’an. As a general rule, Allah states that He wills for us ease, not hardship. To give you a few examples: Dry ablution (Tayammum) in the lack of availability of water or if one is ill, feeding an indigent if one cannot fast, ransom instead of punishment in case of murder, forgiveness and rehab for thieves and robbers, permission to eat pork if permissible food is not available, Pilgrimage only for those who have the means, “the no compulsion” clause etc create all the ease in Islam. And these are only a very few examples.
Mr. Robert Spencer: Now the Hadith are absolutely necessary to make any sense of the Qur’an. Because Allah addresses Muhammad in the Qur’an and they talk about incidents in Muhammad’s life, but they don’t fill in the narrative details. So, you have to go to the Hadith, the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad in order to understand what’s being said in the Qur’an and why. The Hadith are many many volumes of traditions of the Prophet. Various Muslim scholars beginning in the 8th century which is some considerable time after the life of the Prophet Muhammad who died in 632, they started to collect these traditions and to try through various means to in or out the authentic ones from the in-authentic. From an Islamic standpoint if something that Muhammad said or did is recorded in one of those books, then it has authority second only to the Qur’an. And in those books, there is a great deal that illuminates what the Qur’an says and how it is applicable to Muslims in the present.
Answer: Dear Sirs, I will appreciate if you could point out one single distortion of Judaism and Christianity. The Qur’an gently corrects some theological, historical and scientific errors in the Bible. We can call this ‘healing’, not distortions. For example,

Plant Life. The Bible indicates that the earth had green plant life before the sun was created. This is a gross scientific error. And the Quran is perfectly free of this and such other mistakes. Obviously, no vegetation could sprout without sunlight.

The Great Flood. According to the Bible, the Great Flood of Noah occurred in 2100 BC and destroyed all people and animals on earth. But it is a well-known historical and archaeological fact that during those times, active civilizations were flourishing in Egypt, Babylonia, China, South America and elsewhere. The Quran on the other hand describes the great Flood involving only the people of Noah living in Mesopotamia (today’s Iraq). Recent research indicates that the Flood occurred only in the lands of Tigris and Euphrates rivers, which the nation of Noah inhabited.

You are right that Ahadith were collected centuries after the exalted Prophet. So, they should carry little significance except for those Ahadith that are in agreement with the Qur’an. Each of these books of Hadith has a small chapter on explanation (tafseer of the Qur’an). Please know that the entire body of Hadith fails to explain even 10 percent of the Qur’an. There are many translations of the Qur’an available that make perfect sense without using Hadith. One of such translations is my own humble work, “The Qur’an As It Explains Itself.”

Authoritative traditions of the Prophet Muhammad

The Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari

Translated by

Muhammad Muhsin Khan

Volume 4, Book 52, Hadith # 53: The Prophet said, “Nobody who dies and finds good from Allah in the Hereafter would wish to come back to this world, even if he were given the whole world and whatever is in it except the martyr who, on seeing the superiority of martyrdom, would like to come back to the world and get killed again in Allah’s cause. The Prophet said, “A single endeavor of fighting in Allah’s cause in the afternoon or forenoon is better than all the world and whatever is in it.”

Answer: We have seen that Islam allows war only in self-defense. So, a “martyr” or “a single endeavor of fighting” would point to self-defense, and certainly not to aggression. There is a slim chance that these two Ahadith, written 250 years after the exalted Prophet, could be reliable. Yet, they are only indicating the honor a soldier, who puts his life in line for the defense of the State, deserves. Which nation or country won’t honor such valiant men?
H.N. Spalding - Civilization in the East and West:

. In Islam the believer is a worshiper and a soldier ever ready to go to the battlefield but only for that battle which is waged to eradicate evil (including aggression - SA).

REBUTTAL - 7

April 23rd, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781

Mr Robert Spencer: “The Qur’an occupies a place that has no parallel in Western Civilization. The Qur’an is considered by Muslims and traditional Islamic Theology to be dictated word for word by God Himself, by Allah Himself and through the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad. As a result, every word of it is the words of God Himself. Every word of the Qur’an, unless it is cancelled by another section of the Qur’an itself, is valid for all times and cannot be questioned, cannot be reformed, cannot be changed within an Islamic context.
”

Answer: Dear Sir!
“Dictated word for word by God Himself through the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad.” What can be a more incandescent Truth with a capital T?

Doesn’t this fact alone, besides countless others, suffice to make the Qur’an a Unique Book in the whole world? Unique, without parallel, indeed! No wonder, God calls it the best treasure we humans may amass.

10:57 O Mankind! There has now come to you Enlightenment from your Sustainer, and a healing for all that troubles your hearts, and guidance, and grace to all who embrace it.

10:58 Say, “In this bounty of God and in His grace – in this, then, let them rejoice. It is better than all the treasures that they may amass.”

And Sir, this Unique Book (Not The Barbaric, Manmade Shari’ah) is going to dominate all human thought as Bernard Shaw and J.W. Goethe et al have predicted. Muslims are the first ones to denounce and reject the Mullah-peddled “Shari’ah Laws” as we have recently seen in Turkey and Pakistan. Please be assured that the Qur’an embodies nothing but a Most Benevolent Message for the entire mankind as it will gradually unfold in my humble rebuttal.

9:32 They seek to extinguish God’s light (the Qur’an) by their utterances. But God will not allow this to pass, for He has willed to spread His light in all its fullness even though the rejectors may detest it.

9:33 He is the One Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the True Religion (The Divinely Prescribed System of Life), that He may cause it to prevail over all religions and systems of life, even though the idolaters may detest it.

CANCELLATION, ABROGATION OR NASKH:

Not a single verse in the Qur’an is abrogated. The following is simple and self-explanatory.

2:106 Any message of aforetime that We revoke or cause to be lost to history, We replace it with a better or similar one. Do you not know that God is the Supreme Controller of all things and events?

[Some of the People of the Book question why a new revelation was necessary. The evolution of human civilization has now come to a point where the Final Message for all mankind can be given, widely distributed, implemented and preserved forever. So, the Qur’an is now the perfected Message for all mankind at all times; its exact preservation “word for word” being guaranteed by none but the Almighty Himself. 5:48, 6:115-116, 15:9, 16:101, 22:52]

Video Clip:

THE NOBLE QURAN translated by

Dr. Muhammad Taqiuddeen Al-Hilali

and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan

Studio Voice - Surah 98 verse 6: Verily, “those who disbelieve in the religion of Islam, the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad” from among the People of the Scripture, “Jews and Christians”, and/or Mushrikoon, “other disbelievers” will abide in the fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. <<

Dear Sir! >>> “those who disbelieve in the religion of Islam, the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad”
 “Jews and Christians”,
 “other disbelievers” <<<

None of the above words are in the text. Where did they come from?

Here is the correct translation.

98:6 Those who conceal or oppose the truth, be they among the People of the Scripture or the idol worshipers, will abide in Hellfire. For, they cause schism among the created beings. [Sharr = Divisive = Schismatic = Evil aspect of things. Belief in a tribal God, Trinity or idols nullifies the law: Just as God is One, all mankind is one single community. 10:19]

Reverend Bosworth Smith - Muhammad and Muhammadanism, London, 1874:

In Muhammadanism,
we have a book absolutely unique in its origin, in its preservation, on the Substantial authority of which no one has ever been able to cast a serious doubt
. Absolutely unique in history, Muhammad is a three-fold founder of a nation, of an empire and of a religion. The unlettered one bestowed upon the world the Book which is a miracle, the eternal miracle and the true miracle.

REBUTTAL - 6

April 20th, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781

Studio Sound: Then the Quraizah Tribe surrendered and the apostle confined them in Madinah. Then the apostle went out to the market of Madinah and dug trenches in it. Then he sent for them and struck off their heads in those trenches as they were brought out to him in batches. They were 600 or 700 in all. Some figure 800 or 900.

Answer: Please see my humble response to Mr. Walid Shoebat about the Jewish Tribes. They were allowed to relocate along with all their belongings in all peace and security. There was no violence, no beheadings at all.

THE TRENCH: When many clans from Arabia planned to attack Madinah, the exalted prophet, in consultation with his noble companions, had only one trench dug around the City of Madinah. The objective was to defend the City against more than 10,000 aggressive coalition forces from freely invading it. This defense tactic gave Surah 33 Al-Ahzab its name, (the Battle of) The Clans or (the Battle of) The Trench. The Jewish Clans of Madinah and suburbs as well as the hostile Makkan idolaters, violating all peace treaties, had formed a coalition in order to eliminate the Muslims once and for all. They laid siege around Madinah in 627 CE where the exalted prophet had sought asylum since 622 CE. While the Muslims were greatly outnumbered, the strategy worked superbly. With only seven casualties on both sides, the Clans had to lift the siege in a few weeks and retreat when a violent wind blew off their encampments, food supplies and utensils.

Digging of a trench in the market of Madinah is news to me, dear Sir! It is someone’s flight of imagination. It neither stands up to reason, nor does the First History, Al-Qur’an make any mention of it. Did anyone deny the Qur’an’s account? The Jews that had chosen exile over peace could have written books on the atrocity. Did they say a word?

33:9 O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Remember God’s blessing on you, when there came down on you armies (from different clans laying siege around Madinah). But We sent against them a violent wind, and forces that you did not see (courage, resolve, steadfastness and discipline). God is ever Seer of whatever you do.

Robert Spencer: Some Egyptian very recently wrote, “Why Muslims should protest on beheadings – Didn’t the prophet behead six hundred to nine hundred personally?” Mujahideen in Iraq are obeying the example of the prophet. Personally he took part in many battles and raids. He behaved, in general, like a typical 7th century warlord. When this is transferred into the 21st century context of behavior, then what you get is terrorists.

Answer: Sir, what was the name of this Egyptian, what was his authority and where did he write it? The “Mujahideen” or any barbarians that behead people anywhere, cannot be Muslims since they violate all injunctions of the Qur’an and the merciful prophet’s instructions. We have shown that the exalted prophet had to fight the battles in self-defense.

The Qur’an states in no ambiguous terms that the real existence on earth is of the one who benefits humanity. [13:17]

This rule has no exceptions. Notice here the blanket statement of ‘humanity’ regardless of religion, Jew or Gentile, race, geography, creed or color. Then, would a warlord say and do such noble things as below?

The exalted prophet had said, “All creation is the family of God, so you shall be kind to them all.” And, “Even removing a thorn from the street is an act of charity.” [Sahah Sittah]

Raids? We have seen that all hostilities involving Muslims occurred around Madinah and that the exalted prophet, in his entire life, never pricked anyone even with a needle. The exalted prophet was extremely busy establishing the most benevolent, progressive State in Madinah, carving out peace treaties with every tribe and clan, receiving ambassadors from neighboring states, establishing brotherhood between the Mahajireen (Emigrants) from Makkah and the Ansar (Helpers) of Madinah, conveying the Qur’an to all, arranging the welfare of the widows, the orphans, the needy, creating the infrastructure from scratch and setting up an exemplary social order among those who had been the most unruly people in the world. Even a single raid from him would have hurt his credibility, honor and authority and would have nullified all his noble endeavors of reform. He had stated very early in his career, “Islam has come to establish peace, security and human equity and equality.” Let us briefly mention the “Vow of Bounty” or “The Bounteous Pledge” that included highway safety and halting all raids. The exalted prophet had initiated this benevolent deal in his youth. Keeping all these facts in view, how could the exalted prophet order or commit raids? [Kitab-e-Dalaail-en-Nabuwwah Syedna Muhammad (The Book on Proofs of the Prophethood of Our Honored Muhammad), by Abdul Jabbar Fatimi]

The Bounteous Pledge:

When he was about 25 years old, Muhammad, the exalted, helped formulate a very important document. He sat down with the influential leaders of Makkah. Keeping in mind the insecurity of that society, they reached the following conclusions addressing the entire Arabian Peninsula:

01. Travel must be made safe.

02. Tribal raids must be halted.

03. The poor must be helped.

04. The weak must be protected.

Almost all tribes had always felt insecure, had recognized the dire need, and so, they instantly agreed with the noble idea. Their leaders signed this historical document, Halaf-il-Fudhool (The Bounteous Pledge) and hung it prominently on the Ka’bah. Another reason why it was named Halaf-il-Fudhool is that three of those tribal leaders were named Fadhl).

BRITISH KNIGHTS FOLLOW SUIT IN THE 16TH CENTURY:

It is interesting to note that 1000 years later the United Kingdom adopted this historical document. In the 16th century Britain, any person becoming a knight had to pledge his allegiance to the above mentioned four rules. [“Islamic Review” – Lord Rowland George Headley]

REBUTTAL - 5

April 18th, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

Dear friends,
After a lull of two days, there is a flood of calls and emails asking me to continue the rebuttal to completion. In-Sha-Allah, we will do that. Kindly stay in touch, comment and advise.

——————————————————

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781

Walid Shoebat: Well, Muhammad, the prophet of Islam wiped out all the Jews of Saudi Arabia. There were three tribes, Banu Nuzair, Banu Quraizah and Banu Qainqa’. He ordered the beheading of the Jews of Banu Quraizah and the women being taken concubines. As soon as a child had pubic hair, he was beheaded. The Jewish population was either extradited or beheaded. The story of Rabi’ah Qanina is well recorded. Qanina was tortured by the order of the prophet himself. His eyes were put out. He was burned in order to confess where the Jewish Tribes were hiding their goods, their gold and silver, any kind of things. This is right from the Hadith. This inspired us as Palestinians on fighting Jihad against the Jews in Palestine.

Answer: Dear Sir, you have skipped the most authentic, first Source of Islam, the Qur’an, and jumped to Hadith and history written 250 to 350 years after the exalted prophet.

The oncoming video clip mentions Ibn Ishaq and Ibn Hisham.

Being an Arab, you must have read the originals and you should know quite well that even Ibn Ishaq d. 773 CE was half Jew and half Zoroastrian and his supposed biography of the prophet, even if ever written, was immediately lost. Imam Malik has called ibn Ishaq a big liar. Then more than half a century later Ibn Hisham d. 840 wrote ibn Ishaq on hearsay from Ziyad al-Bakai (Magian), Musailma Abrash (Jewish) and Hamid Razi (Magian). [“Seerah” Ibn Ishaq has been forged from ibn Hisham as late as 2000 CE under fictitious names.] Ibn Hisham’s strategy was most sinister. He would narrate some lines complimentary to the exalted prophet in order to establish credibility and then follow with derogatory lines and paragraphs. Also, there was Waqidi, as one of the narrators, a hard-boiled Magian and reputedly the biggest liar of the times. (Mazhabi Dastanain aur Unki Haqeeqat by Allama Habib Kandhalwi).

Now the video shows this clip:

“AUTHORITATIVE” ISLAMIC HISTORY [Quotes mine]

The Life of Muhammad by Ibn Ishaq d.773 CE [Siratur Rasool]

Edited by Abdul Malik Hisham d. 840 CE.

Now see the truly Authoritative Truth from the Qur’an.

33:26 Those People of the Scripture who allied with the clans (despite having a treaty with you), have been taken out from their forts and strongholds, and panic has struck their hearts. Some of them were killed in the battle and others were taken prisoners of war. [The Jewish Tribe, Bani Quraizah had violated the treaty, but another Jewish tribe, Bani Nadhir/Nuzair of Khyber had also been among the confederates]

47:4
There must be an act of kindness or ransom when the battle lays down its weapons.
[8:37, 38:40. Free the captives as an act of kindness or ransom, such as in exchange for your men in their captivity. There is no third option. So, where is the beheading and where are the concubines?]

Surah 59. AL-Hashr – The Gathering refers to the gathering of forces and peaceful exile in 5 Hijrah (627 CE) of the Jewish Tribe of Banu Nadhir/Nuzair near Madinah. They were banished from there after they had repeatedly violated the peace treaties they had signed with the exalted prophet. They kept joining hands with the Makkan idolaters, the hypocrites and some clans attempting to annihilate the believers. For their treachery, Banu Nadhir lost their citizenship and got exiled according to the treaty. They were allowed to take with them all movable property except weapons of war. With 600 camels laden with their belongings, the tribe was allowed to migrate peacefully to any place of their choosing and thereupon they relocated themselves in Syria.

59:2 He is the One Who evicted the disbelievers among the People of the Book from their homes at the first gathering (of the forces). You never thought that they would leave and they thought that their strongholds would defend them against God. But God’s requital came to them from directions they little expected, and caused fear in their hearts. So, they dismantled their dwellings with their own hands and at the hands of the believers. Learn a lesson, then, O You who are endowed with insight! [They dismantled their immovable property to prevent the believers from benefiting from it.]

59:3 And if God had not decreed banishment for them, He would have punished them harder in this world, yet for them is suffering of the fire in the life to come.

Did anyone challenge this Qur’anic truth in the life-time of the exalted prophet and his noble companions?

Again, where is the barbarism? Further, a gentleman like yourself should not have felt inspired by torture committed by anyone.

Question: Were little children growing pubic hair within a few weeks of the siege?

Dear Sir, you have not mentioned which Hadith reports the “Rabi’ah Qanina atrocity”. Absolutely none! You might have heard it in pastime. Please correct the name as Rabi’ah bin Kan’anah who was immediately sent to his family for promising non-violence.

See how a top western historian sums up the situation in one sentence:

H.N. Spalding - Civilization in the East and West:
Mohammad was the greatest Executive Officer for implementation of the Divine Will.

REBUTTAL – 4

April 17th, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781

The video continues in the most amicable manner with all participants adopting an extremely friendly attitude, speaking in a heart winning manner and body language.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Araby: The bespectacled, very personable gentleman says, “I believe that those terrorists that want to do harm to others are applying the true Islam that was practiced by Muhammad and his followers in the early stage of Islam.”

Answer: Dear Sir, with all due respect, it appears that you have presented some very biased history of Islam, and that, without pointing out the source of your information. Almost all histories reiterate the fact that the exalted prophet, in his entire life, never even pricked any person with a needle.
Exception: A most staunch enemy, Umayyah bin Khalaf, had traveled all the way from Makkah along with a well armed soldiery of 3000 men for the Battle of Uhud near Madinah against greatly outnumbered Muslims. When he tried to attack the prophet, he only touched the man with his spear without wounding him in the least. Ibn Khalaf ran bewildered, screaming loud, so much so that his own friends taunted him for making a big deal out of nothing. He said, “You do not know what I do. I know I’m not injured but I also know that it was through the hand of Muhammad.”
Dear Sir, the entire history will fail to give you a single example other than this of the exalted prophet’s “extreme hostility” against any human being.
:-)

Now, the Creed of Islam is shown on the video,

THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH AND MUHAMMAD IS HIS PROPHET

Respectfully, a minor correction by Shabbir:

There is no god but the One True God, and Muhammad is His Messenger.

Mr. Robert Spencer: Muhammad is revered today as the perfect man in Islamic Theology, a model par excellence and the primary model of human behavior.

Answer: Respected Sir, if you were truly aware of the noble character of Muhammad (S), you would agree with the Qur’an and numerous great western minds that the exalted prophet was indeed a role model for all mankind. The Glorious Book presents his own life as witness to this truth and not a single person could deny it in his life-time. Can there be a better criterion of the nobility of character?

10:16 Say, “
. I have dwelt among you a whole lifetime before this. (You have always called me Al-Ameen, the trustworthy and Sadiq, the truthful). Will you not, then, use your reason?”

68:4 (O Prophet) Indeed, you have sublime morals.

Sir, not even the worst enemies of the exalted prophet could challenge these statements of the Qur’an.

Alphonse de LaMartaine - Historie de la Turquie, Paris, 1854:

If greatness of purpose, smallness of means, and astonishing results are the three criteria of a human genius, who could dare compare any great man in history with Muhammad? The most famous men created arms, laws, and empires only. They founded, if anything at all, no more than material powers which often crumbled away before their eyes. This man moved not only armies, legislations, empires, peoples, dynasties, but millions of men in one-third of the then inhabited world; and more than that, he moved the altars, the gods, the religions, the ideas, the beliefs and the souls.

Reverend Bosworth Smith - Muhammad and Muhammadanism, London, 1874:

Head of the State as well as the Church, he was Caesar and Pope in one; but he was Pope without the Pope’s pretensions, and Caesar without the legions of Caesar, without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a police force, without a fixed revenue. If ever a man ruled by a right divine, it was Muhammad, for he had all the powers without their supports. He cared not for the dressings of power. The simplicity of his private life was in keeping with his public life
.

REBUTTAL - 3

April 16th, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781

Mr. Robert Spencer: Another very personable gentleman raises the issue that Islam and Islamic Civilization actually sanction the violence and that Islam mandates violence against the unbelievers.
Answer: Dear Sir, the foremost Source of Islamic Doctrine, Theology, Civilization and Law, Al-Qur’an, is right before us. Let us see what it has to say.
49:13 O Mankind! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes so that you may affectionately come to know one another. Certainly, the most honored among you, in the Sight of God, is the one who is best in conduct. God is Knower, Aware.
60:7 It may well be that God will bring about affection between you and those whom you now consider enemies. God is Able to do all things, and God is Forgiving, Merciful.
60:8 God does not forbid you from being kind, and fully equitable to those who do not fight you on account of Religion, and do not evict you from your homelands. God loves those who lead a just, balanced life.
5:2 O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! —. Let not the hatred of a people lead you to transgression —. Help one another in acts of collective benefit and righteousness, and do not help one another in deeds that hurt humanity and in creating a wedge between people. Be mindful of God. —.
41:34 Since good and evil cannot be alike, repel evil with what is decent. Then he, between whom and you there was enmity, may become close friends.

Dear Sir, the exalted prophet said, “If any non-Muslim is wronged in the Islamic State, I will personally plead on his/her behalf.”

Ms Bat Ye’or: The soft-spoken, elderly lady maintains that the Muslims want to impose all over the world the only religion, the only true religion, the only just religion which is Islam; and the suppression of all other religions in order to establish the Rule of Allah over the whole earth. This is a religious duty which binds the whole community. The Muslim Community is obliged to impose because they are obliged to obey the order of Allah and this is the desire of Allah as expressed in the Koranic Revelation.

Answer: Respected Madam, you make me feel good with the glad tiding that Muslims are united at least somewhere. :-)You said, “This is a religious duty which binds the whole community.” I wish something were binding the Muslim Community together! Far from being united, Muslims today, because of forsaking the Qur’an, are divided into nearly 200 sects and one sect is busy fighting the other. But Allah prefers unity in diversity for all mankind and to that effect, He has given we humans free will. Allah ordains freedom of religion for all and He honors different kinds of temples and a variety of traditions and rites among people as you will find below.

Freedom of religion:
2:193 So, fight them (the religious oppressors) only until there is no more harassment, and religion may be adopted for the sake of God alone. And if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against those who replace peace with aggression.
2:256 There is absolutely no compulsion or coercion in Religion. The right direction has been made distinct from error. —.
18:29 And proclaim, “This is the truth from your Lord. Whoever accepts it let him accept it, and whoever rejects it, let him reject it.” —.

Unity in diversity:
5:48 —. For each community among you We have appointed certain rites and a traced-out way. If God had willed, He could have made you all one single community. But He decided to let you test yourselves by what potentials He has granted you. So, outdo one another in doing good to the society.—.
Mankind is one community since all humans are equally worthy of honor.
17:70 Surely, We have conferred dignity on children of Adam (as a birth right, regardless of where the child is born) —.

Sanctity of all places of worship:

22:40 (Allah is Able to help) Those who have been evicted from their homes unjustly, for no reason other than saying, “Our Lord is God!” For, if God had not enabled some people to repel others, monasteries, churches, synagogues, and Masjids, where the Name of God is oft mentioned, would have been destroyed. And God will certainly help those who help Him. God is Mighty, Powerful.

Dear Ma’am! I will be very grateful if you could please show me a single place where “imposition (of religion) is the desire of Allah as expressed in the Qur’anic Revelation.”

Bertrand Russell - History of Western Philosophy, London, 1948:
Our use of phrase ‘The Dark ages’ to cover the period from 699 to 1,000 marks our undue concentration on Western Europe
. From India to Spain, the brilliant civilization of Islam flourished. What was lost to Christendom at this time was not lost to civilization, but quite the contrary
. To us it seems that West-European civilization is civilization, but this is a narrow view.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - Letter to Eckermann 1830, Sir Henry Elliott’s collection, 1865:
The teachings of Islam can fail under no circumstances. With all our systems of culture and civilization, we cannot go beyond Islam and, as a matter of fact, no human mind can go beyond the Koran.

REBUTTAL - 2

April 16th, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781

The video begins with Azan, captivating the audience/viewer instantly. Then we hear good things about Islam from P.M. Tony Blair and Presidents Bush and Clinton. The scenario shifts to the most gruesome and unfortunate anti-Islam beheading of Mr. Kenneth Bigley in 2004 at the hands of the Criminals of Islam and humanity, in Iraq among chants of “Allahu Akbar”. Yes, such are the Criminals of Islam and humanity defaming Islam and Muslims and becoming a blot on humanity.

Mr. Serge Trifkovic rhetorically asks: “Explain the continuity of violence from the earliest day of Islam, from the earliest days of the prophet and his immediate successors throughout the 13 centuries of recorded history.”

Answer: Dear Sir, from the earliest day of Islam and the earliest days of the exalted prophet and his noble companions, five of whom were his immediate successors, the Commandment has been,

“Hold back your hands” unless war is imposed upon you. [4:77]

Fighting was allowed only in self-defense.

2:190 Fight in the cause of God those who wage war against you, but do not commit aggression. God does not love aggressors.

Every single battle the exalted prophet fought along with his noble companions, again, five of whom were his immediate successors, was in self-defense. The fact that they were fought around Madinah is sufficient proof of the defensive nature of these battles. The most famous Battles of Badr, Uhud, Ahzab, all took place around Madinah. Who attacked the peaceful and progressive State of Madinah? The Battle of Hunain is the only exception of distance, but then the exalted prophet and his companions were peacefully returning from Makkah in AH 8 (629 CE) and two tribes (Hawaazan and Thaqeef) unexpectedly attacked them only to get miserably defeated.

For the greatest benevolent Revolution in all history, in all the battles, the loss of life was minimal with 259 Muslims and 759 opponents getting slain, a total of 1,018. Not a single non-combatant, a child, a woman or the elderly was ever killed or harmed by Muslims.

13 Centuries? Sufficient it is to think of the greatest ever wars, WWI & WWII, fought in the Name of God between nations that called themselves Christian. Also, think of the longest ever HUNDRED YEARS WAR (French: Guerre de Cent Ans) which in fact lasted 116 years from 1337 to 1453 between France and Britain.

Edward Gibbon - History of The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire London 1788:

. The greatest crime, the greatest “sin” of Mohammad in the eyes of the Christian West is that he did not allow himself to be slaughtered, to be “crucified” by his enemies. He only defended himself, his family and his followers; and finally vanquished his enemies. Mohammad’s success is the Christians’ gall of disappointment
. He did not believe in any vicarious sacrifices for the sins of others.

The participants are:
Mr Serge Trifkovic, Foreign Affairs Editor, Chronicles Magazine
Mr Robert Spencer, Author, Islam Unveiled
Ms Bat Ye’or, Author, The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians Under Islam
Mr Abdullah Al-Araby, Director, The Pen vs. The Sword Publications
Mr Walid Shoebat, Author, Why I Left Jihad

BISMILLAHIRRAHMANIRRAHEEM
In my humble opinion, this is the most well thought out video ever made against Islam. The producers, the writers and the directors have very expertly questioned Islam and raised some very intelligent objections. All makers of the documentary and the participants deserve full marks and even congratulations.

Consultation with many friends has led us to the decision that the Truth must be told in all honesty and errors in the above presentation gently pointed out.

As we will show, this video, at times, rightly objects to Muslim behavior. Other than that, it is a conglomerate of misquotations, mistranslations, subtle distortions, even blatant falsehood and fabricated accounts of history and Hadith turning it into a crafty propaganda. Many of the fallacies in the video could simply be the result of plain ignorance and innocent misunderstandings. The ancient Muslim clergy, and not CNN or Quixotic, are responsible for some of the fabricated history and Hadith alluded to above.

THE OBJECTIVE of our rebuttal is not response for the sake of response or to incite any argumentation. We wish to educate ourselves, Muslims and non-Muslims, and even the makers of the above video.

Shabbir, a life-long student
